Title: micronised peas for poultry and waterfowl
Post by: lord flynn on September 23, 2014, 10:57:09 am
I have been giving my ducks and poultry some defrosted peas as a treat-supposed to be good for them during a moult and I've been making friends with the new ducks :) I know some chicken mixes have some micronised peas in them but does anyone feed them as an addition to pellets in the winter?

I've decided to pen my poultry this winter for a variety of reasons although they will get to free range three days a week-they'll be on breeder pellets from November.

Micronised peas have a protein level of around 23% so i would mix them with wheat. Soak them over night too they love them. I have had problems finding peas this year unless i buy them as mixed flakes.
