Title: branches broken on plum tree.

Hi folks. As said branches are broken and someone one said something about silverleaf getting in? Any suggestions? Also heard someone left the branches broken nd tree still fruited well the next year....

The main branch broke on mine this year due of the weight of plums. As it was still attached a bit, I left it and later gathered around 6kg of plums. I've taken the branch off now.

Cheers MGM. Did you put anything on the branch where you cut it off? Nd have the leaves dropped now? Mine's looking a bit ropey...

No nothing. Some people recommended it at the time and I did some reading up about it and decided to leave it. The tree still has a fair few leaves but they are dropping.
