Title: Ryeland Lamb - strange noise
Post by: Katrina on September 08, 2014, 03:25:59 pm
Hi

This is more curiosity than I problem (I hope) but I thought as you all seem so helpful, one of you might be able to stop me wondering about it please.

I have a Ryeland lamb that makes a very weird baaing noise.  My Dorset Ewe lambs sound like 'normal' sheep, my Ryeland Ewe has deeper voice but still sounds like a sheep, my Ryeland ewe lamb sounds like one of my childrens toys when the battery is wearing out, is this normal from the breed?

My helpful local shepherd laughed at her, and said that's the weirdest noise he has heard from a sheep.

She is fit, healthy and seems happy so I am not concerned about her, as I said I am just curious........
