Title: Bristol wool fair
Post by: Louise Gaunt on September 05, 2014, 08:23:54 pm
We visited the wool fair today. It was quite quiet, but this gave me lots of time to talk to exhibitors, watch other people spinning and generally indulge my fibre habit! There were lots of different stalls, and I enhanced my stash with a variety of things for spinning and several skeins of hand dyed yarn! Lots of spinning and knitting coming up! And the chocolate brownies were excellent!

Sounds good. Maybe I'll get there next year.

We also visited. It was no Woolfest, but it has promise. Picked up a few bits. Was a nice intro to the wonder of wool and fibre to my OH. He won't do what he did the other day when I asked if I could have some balls of pure wool for a project in Hobbycraft. He looked at the price and grams then picked up a 100% acrylic from the shelf next to him and informed me I should go with that as it is much cheaper, am I sure I'm not just paying for a brand name. lol
