Title: Knitting loom
Post by: r+lchick on November 13, 2009, 11:48:57 am
Any of you guys tried a knitting loom?  ??? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pclJ7gUvEAY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pclJ7gUvEAY) (Hope I did the hyperlink correctly.)  It looks like the old knitting dolly.  Apparently it is great for knitting socks.  There are other sites to see how it is done.  Just grabbed this one in haste.  You can buy the looms on ebay.   Ros  :cat: :chook:

yeah i have the complete set.

I am awaitting hubby to make me a sock loom for the finer sock (8 stitch per inch)  . The blue loom is good for what they called bed sock . Socks that can be used around the house but you have to uses really chunky wool to get them to work without holes. You can make gloves with them easily too. I've made quite a few wristlets. You can do flat knitting (panels) and knitting in the round.
