Title: Can I temporarily paint the bottom of chick's feet for identification?
Post by: WoodlandsDevon on August 04, 2014, 05:24:14 pm
I'm a bit unprepared and forgot to get any leg rings to tell them apart. I have some black board paint which is safe for children and doesn't say anything about causing irritation to skin. Is it safe to use??
Thanks

Do you have any sheep marker spray? You could maybe use the spray to spray a toe

Food dye or coloured marker pen on fluff provides a few weeks id unless chicks are black.

tipex on the head worked for us :innocent:
a tiny smigeon of purple spray or iodine would work, gives you a few colour codes....
