Title: Greetings from Alloa
Post by: ptowl on July 26, 2014, 06:43:37 pm
Hi all, I've just moved to Alloa, Clacksmannanshire and I am sarting my small food garden here. Hoping to meet local folks to exchange ideas and even help out whenever I can.

I've moved past year from Portugal to Scotland and I am hoping to apply the little I know to grow food and become a bit more sustainable. I have a lot of experience in Hydroponics and indoor gardening and I am planing on applying some diy/recycle/upcycle technics to built a set of greenhouses to have vegs all year around.

And, of course, basicly to say Hi! :)

Hi Ptowl,

Good to have you on board. Also check out Central Scotland Smallholders Association (http://smallholders.webs.com/) - you'll be most welcome at any of the meetings.

Cheers!

Womble.

We moved to Carnoustie from Alloa four years ago - but I was born and bred there. I shall get all homesick now  :)

Hello and welcome to TAS

Thank you all. Yes I have built two underground greenhouses. One traditional rectangular and one geo dome shaped. It's a lot of fun to build :)
