As its a lovely day I decided to prepare my fleece for showing. Its a back breaking job and it seems like I will neve get to the end of picking the vm out.
Still, at least when I come to spin it a lot of the hard work will have already been done so I mustn't grumble.

Just hope the show doesn't display it in such a way that everyone picks at it and helps themselves to bits :(
Good luck with the showing. Also a close-up pic of your staples would be lovely - not the same as handling the fleece, but next best thing until Dan installs interactive touchy/feely/smelly capability on TAS ;D

Fleecewife,
Its a Coloured Ryeland shearling ram fleece. I have attached a few pics but I think the closeup is a bit too close. The last pic is of the underside. Its a lovely steel grey colour there but the pic doesn't do it justice. The staple is 4 inches in the best parts but shorter elsewhere.
I love it but don't expect the judges will. Its not commercial enough for them.
I am only showing at the local show and there were only a couple of fleece there last year so I can probably only come 3rd at worst ;D

Missed a bit.

Good job you aren't the judge :roflanim:

Me, you are such a wonderful person. What chocolates do you like? :roflanim: :roflanim:

I got carried away yesterday and put 5 entries in for our fleece classes :o . Now I have to pick out enough vm to start a compost heap :roflanim: :roflanim: . Just got carried away again...
And my pretty little ewe lamb has rolled in the bonfire site and is now 'ash' blonde (mucky dark grey :P )
Good luck B with your show entry :fc:
