Title: Ouessant wethers
Post by: woollyval on November 08, 2009, 10:26:02 pm
I have 4 Ouessant wethers that would make good pets/spinners flock. Ouessant sheep are small, hardy and have very good wool...trust me...its my business! They are all approx 48 -49cms high at the shoulder.
These chaps are bucket trained, there are 3 black, one white and 3 are this years lambs and one is an 08.

They need good fencing, approx 1/2 - 3/4 of an acre divided into 2 - 3 paddocks between them and a shelter of some sort.

They will need good grass, supplimented by hay in the winter and all the usual sheep management tasks.

They will produce approx 1kg plus of wool each per year suitable for hand spinning, felt etc.

I am looking for £35 each

How good a fence, will ordinary sheep fencing do?

Yes, ordinary stock fence is fine as they tend not to jump like other primitive types!
