this is a petition to try and make it compulsory for laboratories to offer their animals up for adoption after research - at the moment the majority are pts. it gives the animals the chance of a happy home life after years of experimentation.
please sign if you can. a similar law has just been passed in an american state.

I agree but it may be health and safety issue - if they have been inoculated with a virus etc to test drugs.

i dont think they would be released with a virus.
hardly any are allowed to leave alive at the moment but so so many are still used for household and cosmetic products its shocking. we been researching it and alot of the stuff in our house has been from companies that test on animals (even pet food companies do - google Iams)
it seems that the tesco, asda, co-op homebrands are safe to use but most of the famous household names still test on animals.
medical and research and military research is a huge subject - not going there!!
but cosmetic, household, and pet food companies could do so much better. we are now going to attempt to make our own laundry and washing up soaps so at least we can try and be a cruelty free house, and hopefully stop my daughters eczema flare-ups at the same time.
its taking time to realise most of what we were buying is laboratory tested - no more febreze, or mr muscle for us. :o :o :o

the Beagle freedom project are currently lobbying for the chance to rehome livestock after a particular British Heart Foundation experiment as they are routinely pts afterwards.
Apparently the research involves the use of several thousand pregnant horses, sheep, rats, mice and pigs and their offspring during the course of the experiment including investigating the effect of statins on oxygen-starved foetuses. see their facebook page for more info.

Then there are all the unnecessary dog breedings resulting in many of them being pts (killed) because there are no homes for them. Just where do you stop? :rant:

Signed ! Its a cruel world we live in, we can only do our best , as regards everyone else, most of them dont have a conscience.
There will always be attrosaties happening in the world, thats humans for you .
Hence my faith in animals, they dont lie, cheat, .............. look at me on my high horse, must be cause its Sunday ! :roflanim:

personally i would rather use criminals, i.e., rapist, muggers, thieves, and murderers …but no doubt , that would upset some human rights issues…... ;D
