Hi, this is my first post, and we are new to the smallholding business. My partner and myself rent some land in Leicestershire. We have some Dexter cattle, some Shetland and a few assorted sheep breeds, plus hens and Honey bees. We are in our early fifties, and as someone else said, wished we'd done this 10 years ago!
We hope? to get a place of our own, but that is very dependent on what the kitty has! and what is out there (Probably a barn in a field to share with the animals!). Does anyone know of a smallholding with a small house (renovation kind, fine) in the Midlands or similar that is, or will be for sale?

Welcome, and if the kitty is small the further north you look the more it will get you ;)

TM - Aye that's right, right up until everyone from England has moved up there looking for small holdings and the prices have gone through the roof lol.
They are certainly on the rise. . . . .

Hello from Worcestershire
there's a few places coming up round here (evesham area) prices fluctuate depending on how close to the cotswolds border you get. I love dexters, farmer next door has some :)
