Title: Paddy is trying my patience
Post by: Roxy on October 13, 2009, 10:23:40 pm
Apart from deciding when he wants to come in for the night, and climbing fences and walls, bringing Jasmine with him, to get there, once inside, he expects his food to be ready and waiting.  If it isn't, he starts butting the gate holding him in, and he has managed to hit it so hard that it has sprung open.  If that does not work, he starts to bleat loudly, and keeps it up.  Even when he gets the food, he still bleats.

For a billy goat he is very affectionate, and I think a previous owner has spoilt him, giving in to his every whim.

I have tried to explain that there are a lot of other animals as well as him!!

Cantankerous goat - Thats what I call ours when shes on one! Hopefully he'll settle down, not sure what to suggest as you've already tried the 'good talking to!'
Can you leave the gate open at all, and let him take himself in?
