Hi, What would be the average cost per what ever of having a drainage ditch  dug in north Wales?

Your question is not specific enough. Do you mean just an open ditch or one with land drainage pipe and backfill? What type of soil and how deep does it need to be? If you are looking at just digging a ditch with a JCB a driver operator will want about £25 to £30 an hour.  Smaller mini digger driver and operator will want about £100 a day. Both plus VAT if you use someone VAT registered. If you want the excavated soil moved - you will need to allow for that as well.

man and digger up here is £80 an hour (scotland)

Someone is fleecing you.

Hencards figures are accurate, about £28 hr for a 3cx with driver.

Maybe slightly more for a tracked 8 ton machine , plus delivery and collection each way by low loader might be £100 depending on distance.

Man and digger, weekend, two days 8am till 7 pm. . . . £300 quid and a couple of boxes of fags.  :thumbsup:
