Pedigree Blackwelsh Mountain starter flock for sale 2 x last years ewe lambs,1 x 2 shear ewe in lamb due in next few weeks and a 5 shear un related ram,.The in lamb ewe is in lamb to a different ram so her offspring could be retained.Blackwelsh mountains are easy kept don't need the best of grass and eat weeds.They are medium size sheep are bucket trained,good mothers easy lambers and are less prone to suffer from blowfly strike.The rams are horned and females are polled.Very tasty tender meat.All sheep have best of bloodlines.£375 location Aberdeenshire Scotland message for tel no to view

I don't think you can state they don't get fly strike. I had a few last year either with eggs on or a few maggots on. Some were clean and only noticed cos I had a dirty one to dag.
It might be down to weather as I am in Wiltshire and it's warmer than Scotland but it does happen.

we have had these sheep for 10 years and have never had a case the breed standard states they rarely get fly strike,any things possible though,doesnt affect the advert that there is a starter flock for sale and they are good sheep for smallholders .

Any pics? I have a client looking for a small friendly flock for this teenage daughter. He has a beef suckler herd so they have all the relevant cph numbers etc
