I've got 18 tame lambs ranging from 4 weeks to 2 days old (yes, I must be mad! :roflanim: ) When they are old enough we want to vaccinate for clostridial diseases. I think when we vacinated the last lot we did we used Heptavac, but should we be using ovivac instead? Ovivac is considerably more expensive, will Heptavac do the same thing?
Am I right in thinking it's 3 weeks of age minimum and 4-6wks between doses? So do them when the youngest are 3 and 7/8 weeks old?

It depends on what you intend to do with the lambs if all are to be killed for meat then ovivac p or heptavac p are fine , if you intend to keep some for future breeding then heptavac p should be your choice as it covers lamb dysentery which can be a problem in some flocks at birth . Both products are basically the same ovivac p covers four diseases + pneumonia and heptavac p seven diseases + pneumonia , so if hep is cheaper then it would seem the way to go . Yes you are correct with your timings.
