Trees: a Valuable Resource. Woodland Management and Biomass, Thursday 20th February, Inverurie
A practical day looking at trees: from planting and pruning to processing; how to manage existing woodland; opportunities for selling wood and wood fuel; what you need to know to commission a boiler; the RHI and an introduction to the Woodland Trust. The day will also include a visit to Dalfling Farm. Farmers, Water and Woodland, Thursday 27th February, Ayr
A day looking at practical solutions for reducing diffuse pollution, planting trees to protect water courses and highlighting successful practical projects. Effective Field Drainage: Reducing Flood Risk & Improving Soil Performance Friday, 28th February 10-2, Palacerigg, Cumbernauld
A practical half-day event looking at the impacts of poor farm drainage, the benefits of improving it (like 30% more grass growth & reduced parasite risk), and soil management to reduce waterlogging and flooding. Soil, Muck & Money: Nutrient Management Event, Tuesday, 4th March, Upper Largo, Fife
