Hello!
I've kept all sorts of pet chickens all my life but this year I would like to buy a small number of day old chicks (or maybe hatching eggs) of a meat breed, something like Ross Cobbs, Hubbard, Sasso etc. I raised turkeys for the first time this year and had one of my Bourbon Red stags for Christmas which was excellent, so I'd like to try meat chickens now!
Do people have a preference over which meat chicken breed they have tried?
I am based in south Wiltshire, does anyone know of any suppliers of these chicks in the south west/south central England?

Pammy and Ritchie Riggs do Hubbards. You could email them and ask where they get them from in North Devon.

I got my Ross Cobb off Poulet , they deliver all over the country, we actually met the Van when they where on their way up to Scotland.
I belive they do Ross Cobb, Hubbards and ducklings all day old
