Hello Vicky you will also need a flock number ;)
-
You'll get a flock number from Animal Health - our local office is in Perth; your smight be Caithness or Inverness. You'l find details via Google

grr wish they told me that when i went to see them bout my cph number as i saw the animal health bout having pigs so going ring them Monday , thank you
-
all sorted i can now go collect my lambs ;D cant wait for yummy roast lamb
-
I did think that when I read your posts. When you get a CPH number, why don't they are you if you are going to keep livestock and advise you about herd / flock numbers. Now THAT would be joined up government!

come on that would make life to easy. think of all the jobs that would be lost if one person could imput the data into a computer.

When we rang, they were great, we only had 6 hens then and were just asking. We were asked what we were thinking (goats & pigs) and they gave us a number immediately, and we've rung many times for advice/clarification.
DEFRA seem more helpful than the local office it has to be said. (ours is many many miles away in Staffordshire..... whatever!)

To be fair, I've always found Animal Health very helpful.

Ive not got a flock number due to me not owing any land , they told me to use the flock number of the land owner I'm using , until they have sorted there computer problem out which will then give me my own number,so collected my lambs today and took them to there new home :sheep: ;D ;D
