The Essex girl sings what a wonderful world - she has it all
Tall - with very long legs
Tanned
Pretty
Good Teeth
Excellent Singer
Likeable
Only 19
So she should go far... single mum too, hope she makes a bob or two bless her

I love scrabble - one of my fave games - wish we could play it on here
I'm not into facebook, I think its a bit dangerous that people can get
too involved and give out too much information - plus a lot of people
are very false and do not tell you the truth as well. Plus its addictive
Not that I am addicted to this site or anything LOL ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sorry I wasn't in tonight folks - dogs all had to get taken out after all that blasted rain, then one of my pals, Joy, phoned, her sister, Joanne, was with her so after an hour speaking to one I was a half hour repeating the same to her - and they were both on the red wine too.  Then  my other pal Jan phoned, and her dog had a fight with her pals' dog while I was on the phone and Jan got bitten. So I then had to look at my emails and forgot the time. Busy day tomorrow, cleaning and hoovering, then baking for visitors in the afternoon and my friend Enid is popping in for coffee in the morning. So I should be able to come and chat at night if I don't fall asleep first.

tam's been called away to Edinburgh Again !!!! Well Kirkliston  so am officially board ! I have empty shelves (ready for paintting), Sorted out my underwear draw and but them in the waldrobe on stacker things . I have sorted out Little T and Big T underwear draws and cloths draws.

Babies room at the moment is tbig t and mine room, we have a set of draw full with baby cloths . Just waitting for tam to paint the walls yellow and the skirtting etc white gloss. We have bought some bamboo blines to hide the built in waldrobe we took the doors off (they where big and heavy things that slide horrible and it looking a mess now, Another job for tam to do lol. Might be getting a new (to us)carpet today depending on it size , i belive it to be deep red , don't really mind as it a change :).
Once the room is painted (waitting on tam) we can put the cot up and the baby changer thingy and then hopefully bring the rocking chair in to the room aswell depending on space and anything else we have to come in.

Can't do much in the other room as it's reliant on this room getting sorted.

Oh and am not happy with the mid wife has she has just declaired that i might go another two weeks (6 weeks in total) as am in quite a bit of pain sometimes due to baby 'restting on my hips' now, arhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

In some way felt sorry for the pants man and his daughters!!!! I wounder how people stay in the child's phase of thinking you are good when you are not!! I remember when I was 6, telling my teacher I could play the piano, she made me play in front of everyone at assembly, cause I could not play at all, just banged it but at home it sounded like a concert pianist!!! grown out of that phase now sadly (http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Music/organ-116.gif)

Know what you mean

Its those body snatchers, (http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Unhappy/unhappy-089.gif) they come in and pinch your bum and replace it with a bigger
wobbly one
Then they come a few weeks later and give you matching legs to the bum, and take yours away,

Then they start taking your nice skin, and boobs and replacing them with these older ones

They must be selling them on ebay ;D ;D ;D

Womens trousers have the waist that is about an inch above my ( :censored:pubic hairline) and I spend ALL day hoisting them up, so I buy mens jogging bottoms for around the house, then I can pull the waist up to my boobs (waist level) And, my feet cannot get into nice shoes, I wear the sort I last saw in the "poorly/comfy" cataloge my nan had!!!

Laugh at it - its only life

Even all those skinny models and stars are gonna get old, and fat, and wrinkly.

At least we are FREE of all the insecurities of being young

When you can laugh at yourself - you've made it - life is too short to be serious

Yes, it does and yes Annie is exhausted after having Belle mated - TWICE!  And deafened - I'm surprised you didn't all hear the din she made about it all!  She was SO angry that she had been violated!  I did try to reassure her that we wouldn't be doing it ever again but that didn't seem to assuage her anger one tiny bit!  Debs and I should have worn earplugs.  decided to take Debs and Vinnie back to Edinburgh by train instead of driving - that was an ABSOLUTE nightmare!
Goodnight everyone!

That smiley makes me laugh - and reminds me of a true story.

Once was going to see the local priest in the village, and through the window he was sat in a
chair and looked as if he was moving the same as that smiley.

We looked at each other, and I said to my husband - you go in first and I'll wait here.

He's a bit deaf see, so he walked in knocking on the door and shouting Father, Father...

Anyhow theres the priest...... wait for it

Shaking up his battery free torch   ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hubby said that he might be better holding it up whilst he does that, or at least
shutting the curtains - father got the joke and we thought he was going to have a
heart attack he was laughing at himself that much

You know, you are probably busy enough, but if there were two of you, that bakery or making pies
could be a good little number for the winter months, when the b&b mightbe a little quieter.

I have always wanted to run a tea room, and am almost set up to do that for next year, just hoping my friend will retire a year early and do it with me, ad its a lot to take on on your own.  We would only work the weekends, as its quiet through the week, but theres aleays people around looking for somewhere to go on weekends, lots of walkers, pedal pushers, and tourists.

Unicorn, had to read your post twice, I would have written that...We looked into opening a tea room inside the B&B but far too many problems, one being 2 disabled toilets , another having cream carpets everywhere, not too good for walkers cyclists and (http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Babies/babies.gif)CHILDREN!!!!! so, we also have a Garage that is the size of a bungalow, it needs a new roof as it is Grey Asbestos, that has an area of hardstanding directly outside yet sheltered from the road, both would be ideal as tea room and outside area with gravel, trees in pots and little tables and char's. Our liiving and kitchen looks out over and ancient stone that attracts people who have thier phot taken under it, Stone of Mannan, Google it and you will see why!! and loads of cyclists(http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Leisures_and_Sports/bike-101.gif) sit on the seats just across from us having their break or just meeting...how more ideal! one thing missing  Money(http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Happy/happy-131.gif)

Hello Everyone

Sorry I am late - had to copy some films for daughter - she had a great laugh at them hehe

Little BLue - what does your other half do inside his studio when he isnt on ebay?

I don't have my own studio yet, but its on my wish list

Sandy - you must do that Tea Room, it looks and sounds ideal,  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  Just thinking of that Julie Walters in Acorn Antiques with the tray - people used to say I looked like her when we were both 20 years younger, but people used to say I looked like Dana when she sang cold cold christmas, and some other people said I look like Joanna Lumley - they can't all be right can they  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I sometimes wish I lived in Scotland near you all - I am sure we would have lots of fun - I don't really have any friends close by, there in Scotland, London, New Zealand and Derbyshire my four really good friends.  I cant move now though cause weve invested so much here and have a wonderful spot, really idyllic, and private too.

Anyhow I'm halfway down a bottle of red medicinal wine cause the painkillers dont work, and I am having to press the backspace key every third letter cause am makin lotso mistakies. he eh eh he

Havent been out for a week getting cabin fever - must get out tomorrow, have to go shopping anyhow as nothing in fresh.

Have read lotsa magazines this week but learned nothing, only lots of ads and thin folk in them i hicc

I am a true Scot when it comes to gambling and am way too mean! We went last year and the only reason we did go and indeed why we are going back is so I can see Bette Midler in concert. Vegas is an incredible place and a must see but the gambling has no draw for me. The hotels there are just massive and have to be seen to be believed.

Jealous, me?! Las Vegas, Morgans, tea rooms with cakes?!
Love old cars, want a Triumph myself.

Hi Unicorn, dozed off and so switched off last nite!  O/H (actually, we've been married nearly 4 years!) is a music teacher, and does his own cds, arrangements, and stuff. But he had a breakdown last year (long story) and is only just able to "hear the music" again.  He's agaorophobic still.
(tv quote - "theres only 2 types of people in this world, those who can hear the music and those who can't")

What magazines you been reading? Not many thin people in Country Smallholding, or Amateur Gardening!! Must be Hello or even The Peoples Friend?!

James, loved the stalker chicken story.  After milking we let the goat into my father in law sometimes, she creeps round the settee corner and peeps at him til he realises theres these devil eyes looking at him!

I'm chuffed that my motorhome passed its MOT with nothing to do, but I really must sell it. It's just wasted with me - too big for one person.  I was told today by a mechanic that I'd get the same as I paid for it as the Drifters don't lose value.  If I do sell it I'll get one of these small transit type ones that I'd find easier to drive.

Use this site for comparing currencies - pretty accurate www.xe.com
$1.00 USD = £0.61 GBP or put it another way £1 GBP = $1.64

Yes, I had thought of that! She kidded in April and has milked fine with no real changes in 'output'
We want to see how long she milks through, she was mated v young (rescued her from a commercial dairy who threatened her herd with the knackers cos there's no money in farming - or am I just a soft touch?!) and deserves a rest.

Doc Martin is a very droll look at life in a parochial village where the only GP is a divorced, failed consultant from the Big City (failed because he has a blood phobia)  it is very witty and extremely funny.  I have watched the first ones over and over.  It might take a couple of episodes to get into it though ;)

Doc Martin starts next week, Sandy

I think that's a view from the windscreen of the VW camper that's had a terminal illness for a year and half but is in the process of being resuscitated - allegedly.  I haven't seen it yet, just hope it isn't a figment of Steve and Sandy's imagination.

That one beside me has disappeared, Sandy.

Yup, it is the view on our drive up to Scotland from our 1971 VW camper, it runs very well but needed some mig welding for it's MOT and for some reason it has been in one garage for a year and now another for over 6 months, we have seen it and it has now got grey bits everywhere so it will need a respray but I am getting a bit fed up with people just not finishing it!!! I cannot take it away yet as it has been preped and so has still some holes......keep thinking of the three degrees song "When will I see you again!!!" Our idea was to not have another car and use out bikes etc more then just use the camper for weekends and when needed(http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Transports/bus-047.gif)

If you are looking for the best deals on new baby gear, try babymooch. It's a price comparison website run by Dan and his brother.

Also in the "family" wiimooch, dsmooch, golfmooch, bootmooch (outdoor gear) and some others that, shamefully, I can't remember. If Dan reads thsi, he'll update it.

Hi, I know it's not Happy Hour yet but I thought I had better warn people....no alcohol for me tonight so everything I say will be without the influence of any stimulants. I could see my daughters look of disapproval when we had a tot of Whiskey a few nights on the trot and my OH had much much more than a tot and kept singing Grace Jones songs...well not singing just saying about 4 words over and over, never heard him sing!!!!! I then rang my big brother, I usually ring him weekly but it had been 2 weeks and...he was drunk at 2.00pm, thats OK but he has been off booze for 15 years, he nearly died last time he drank and I am his only relative, he reminisced over the phone about the death of a friend when he was 11 (his dad shot him) and also other sad stuff, he added he had not been out of the house for 2 weeks, so, now I am worried and as he has been living off his savings for a few years, know he will be short of money. This made me both mad and very upset and it made me think maybe my daughter thinks I will be like that (I defiantly will not) as my mum was an alcoholic as well as my brother, so...NO DRINK tonight or this weekend, maybe a bit of wine next weekend but what you seeread  is what you get tonight!!!  ::)

Something so cute about thier little chubby paws!!!
Title: Re: Cocktail and Happy Hour
Post by: doganjo on November 15, 2009, 11:10:33 pm
Yes, well from experience over 25 years I can assure you those chubby little paws ain't quite so cute when they are trampling in their own s4*t and food, and spreading it around your house ;D

Where are you going to put yours after they are weaned?  You won't be able to leave them in that little room off the hall for the whole 8 weeks, it'll probably stink the up the whole house.  Depending on how good Ben is with them and how Islay takes to Ben you may be able to have them out in the dog room with a heat lamp, but you'll need to section it off so they are separate from him.  They need to have lots of house noise around them too from 3/4 weeks onwards - like pans dropping, hoovers going, radios playing etc so they don't get scared when they go to their new homes.  Oh, it's going to be fun, fun, fun.  I'll need to get my puppy pen washed soon so mine can come in the kitchen after next weekend. Yuk, I hate puppies (http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Disgusting/vomit-6.gif)

I don't really - I love them!  This is my 10th litter! (http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Babies/baby-2.gif)

We plan to warm up the dog room, with curtains, extra bedding, those heat pad and a heater on occations if needed, ...as you said, depending on Ben we may keep him in, I am sure he will love that!!! I also may put them into the kitchen for a while if we are not so full of guests...don't think it would be too good to have puppies in the room while I am cooking breakfasts ;) ;)I Know Labs get big quickly!!!!! Anyway, will see for sure soom, a scan in a another week!!!

My son gave me one of his books at Christmas - if it's a different one from yours we can do a swap when we are finished - I don't have time for much reading so it might take a while ::)

A couple are comming to visit thier pu on Sunday, they are visiting thier in law's in Aviemore and comming on the way back on SUnday, if it stays fine I may give them a try in the dog room or outside for a few mins, I thought about it today but it was too wet and cold, they soon will need a bit more space!! I am giving the drink a miss....1 glass is no good for me and I love Red..mind you, a Gin and Tonic would be nice ;) ;)

Calorie wise, spirits are better. Whisky, gin, vodka, bacardi etc. Mix them with sugar free mixer (or slimline tonic water for the gin!) and its far less calories than wine. I haven't had a drink for nearly 3 weeks!

I just feel such a fool....  last week, one goat gave me a black eye as we banged heads - hers where her horn buds were!

Then I was pulling mud and poo-covered branches out of the pig pen, and got slapped by the dirty end!
Yesterday.... I was sat in the goat pen chebking on Margo, the one who's been poorly.  Geraldine was climbing over the old gate we leave in for them to 'play' with (I'd moved it out of the way and stood it up) and she knocked it over - cracking me on the side of the head with the metal fitting part.
Talk about seeing stars!

then a little later when I went in to refill their water, I turned my ankle (not sure if it cos of the bang on the head or if I'm just dyspraxic)

Just an average day really...

Little Blue I wish you no harm at all lass.Read it twice to make sense.I'm pleased to hear that these things happens to you I had got to the state where I thought it was only me.Turn round and something goes wrong it nearly does thinking about it never mind doing something.Have a laugh at my expense lass It's Oxygen Reassessment at 13:15 that is where this sod Ian stabs a broken off fence stake in my wrist and gropes about then has another go or 8 or 9.Well that is what it feels like some thing to do he has to have blood from an artery that is loaded with oxygen not a vein that is returns not like when nurse takes it from my elbow That needle is so thin I don't even notice until the vial starts to fill with blood. So 13:15 we will have a sample removed and then go for a walk wearing my Freedom 400 Then we will grope about in the other wrist for another sample and the to samples tested. Then the specialist can tell them to instruct me on where to turn the control valves. The thing they are worried about I cannot see why is whether I am to have additional oxygen 16 hours a day Thats a bluddi nuisance there is pipes trailed all over the house from a absorbsion unit.It works by extracting Oxygen from the air in the room It works from the mains electricity supply. Not a happy George this morning but I shall be as nasty as a wet hen this afternoon if both my wrists turn black and blue. They hurt for a fortnight last time.So you have a good day cos I know I'll be having a rotten one for you ??? :( ;D :farmer:

George I really can sympathise especially with the deep needle in the wrist, my wife had to have that when she was 30 wks pregnant and i can honestly say that i have never had to muster self control like it, seeing her lying there in a lot of pain, not screaming just sobbing uncontrollably and me stood there useless.
Good thoughts sent your way  :pig:

Hello all WP Good grief if it was anything like my last doo I really feel for the poor lass It is essential I know but in this day and age one would think some bright spark would have thought how to do it with out the side effect. This afternoon went quite well really he had three goes but now the bad news I am to sleep with a supply of Oxygen and 10 hours in the day.Which means I can disconnect myself to do the dinner etc; but he suggest I wear it sitting watching TV and the like. You must wear the freedom 400 when you are doing your gardening boxes and out side at all What a restriction it's going to be but it wont matter so I can be my usual awful obnoxious self opinionated disruptive resident freak.I was told this wasn't I Dixie? lol Joking apart it's going to be very restrictive.but I'll manage even though he expressly forbids me from using it nearer than six feet from a naked flame and my cooker is gas  ??? :-[ :o ;D ;D ;D :farmer:

I still dont fully understand the necessity of it but they said it was to check oxygen levels in her blood, but i totally agree that in this day and age there must be a simpler way. hope you feel better soon at least you are in high spirits  :pig: :o

Hello W.P. Not that I understand but I am very inquisitive should I need be.So Ian why are you groping about in my wrist and causing me strife ?When I go to see me GP he instructs his Dracula to extract some blood for to send to the path lab for various reasons She rolls up my sleeve and inserts a tiny needle into a vein and inserts s vacuumed phial and hey presto blood with no bother.Ah George but that is used blood from a vein I want some blood from an artery which is charged with oxygen being pumped by the heart around your body.I can then put it in a machine which will analyse the blood and tell me the oxygen % in the blood.Unfortunately yours is extremely low below 6 what ever that means hence your need to have addition oxygen for at least 16 hours a day.A technician is calling tomorrow with a machine that absorbs oxygen from the atmosphere and passes it up a pipe to a cannula inserted in my nose.Sounds like great fun I have to be connected to this unit at night when I go to bed as well hopefull this will give me 8 hours so I only need another 8 hours.A big snag I am not to use it within 6 feet of a naked flame and my cooker is gas,Ian thinks I should be alright taking it off in the kitchen and plus the end time loss by how long I was not connected ??? :o :( ;D :farmer:

I could be wrong...  but the arteries are deeper, ie further away from the skin.  so a bigger needle is needed.

all the best George
