That's a good chunk of next winters firewood sorted and a lot more light let into the house. :nwink:
The observant amongst you might have noticed the moving telegraph poles in the background. The electricity company were replacing them and a good proportion of the village, including ourselves, were without power for most of the day.

Its great to get all that wood and we are shocked at just how much we use!!

I don't like big old trees being chopped down but even I can see why you decided that one was better in your wood burner :thumbsup:

It must look like summer back in your house after being in the dark with that tree.

We had a similar one, not quite so big, but it was stopping the light. A good job done me thinks :thumbsup:

You will get loads more daylight in the house, and if that was a sycamore they often dont live all that long and start losing branches when you least expect it. I think the firewood alone makes it a good decision :thumbsup:
