Title: filming sheep
Post by: john and helen on November 06, 2013, 09:03:00 am
I have had a friend ask me , if i will help him with a film, i have no problems with that , but he wants a lamb!! i have said, and i maybe wrong, lambs are not due until spring, the film he is doing is a modern day slant on the nativity,

I have also mentioned if we do find a lamb or kid , the scene would have to be shot at the location, as you would need a movement licence etc etc

any ideas how to get over this one

I'm sure I saw an article in this month's 'Country Living" about a nativity play somewhere in England and they had lambs. I don't have the magazine now but you might find something on the CL website.

You could contact the Dorset Sheep Society
http://www.dorsetsheep.org.uk/ (http://www.dorsetsheep.org.uk/)

They might know of someone.

Lots of farmers round here have already lambed (Dorset breeds).  If you pm me I might have a contact who is used to filming.
