Title: Are earwigs dangerous to small animals?
Post by: Clarebelle on July 15, 2013, 07:08:59 am
I seem to have an incredible number of earwigs in the garden this year, I have never in my life seen so many, they are under every pot, in every crevice all over the garden.

I've never really worried about them before but my rabbit hutches and quail are infested and I wasn't sure if they could pose a threat to smaller animals? I keep the pens as clean as poss, especially as its flystrike season but this doesn't seem to make any difference. My main concern really is for my baby rabbits, they are only two weeks old.

Thanks everyone, I don't think they attack animals but wanted to double check?

They aren't dangerous to animals, just to some of your plants. I wish I could spell Chrissyanthiums  :roflanim:  but especially them. :innocent:
