Title: Damned Auctions!
Post by: Daisys Mum on May 24, 2013, 08:02:46 am
Went to Lanark yesterday with the intention of buying some quail eggs......nothing else and have come home with 2 zebra finches as well. Thank goodness the charity shop in Duns had a cage for a fiver. Did bid on a few other things that I don't need either but thank goodness I didn't win them.

lol, I can't really blame you, zebra finches are so lovely! I went my first poultry auction at the welsh show and ended up paying more than i had intended for some quail - auction fever! lol :chook:

That's the thing with auction. They somehow magically make you bid without intending to.

I can never understand anything they are saying - I think a lot of other people can't either, which is why they end up with stuff they hadn't intended to buy! And which is why I would never even attempt to buy anything at auction.

I only ever get a bidding number if I go to buy something. Its the safest way of me not buying. Far to easy to get carried away at these things.

you get used to it, and its understandable after a while.
