hi everyone i have just fenced off a little plot of land ready to plant and grow some fruit and veggies for the pigs i have a apple tree already but i was wondering what would be the best things to grow

if you want something quick stubble turnip is ready in about 12 weeks and can be planted now.

Most anything you would grow for yourselves to eat, pigs will eat too ;D
We find pumpkins, courgettes, cabbages, sweetcorn, lettuces, peas all go down well along with tomatoes from the polytunnel. Good for you good for the pigs win win all round! :thumbsup:
we also plant turnips, beet(manglolds) for winter.

As Mandy says but maybe think about the ease of
1.harvesting
2.storrage
3. preparation and possible need to cook .
For example I would go for pumpkins over spuds as they are ( kg-kg easier to harvest and store and don't need cooking). Our pigs get all veg in season and the last lot loved cooked beetroot and spuds - it's a pain lighting a fire outside and cooking them up though. I did break a table trying to cut through a pumkin though >:(
