Title: Lamb eye problem
Post by: bigchicken on April 24, 2013, 12:19:20 am
One of my lambs has a partial obstruction of her right eye, pink redish skin covering the front of the eye looks like a bit of skin is in the wrong place or is overgrown, anyone any ideas going to vet in the morning. Eyelids look fine.

Pinkeye maybe? Looks like an opaque film over the eye. Usually caused by debris damage, scratching the surface of the eye. If it is, some Orbenin will clear it up. If anything more sinister than this I'm afraid I don't know. Hopefully someone else will though. :fc:

Without a pic im not 100%     But it sounds like pink eye.... Opticlox....Does the lamb have an inturned bottom eye lid ? if so there are a couple of ways to remedy this.   Interested to see what the vet says

Well took her to the vet third eyelid inflamed due to foreign body, flushed eye out but nothing seen may have cleared its self could have been something as silly as a hay seed. Came away with eye ointment, vet said it should come right fingers crossed. Pics to follow.
