Title: Finding a new tenant for my flat
Post by: Kitchen Cottage on April 23, 2013, 07:36:17 am
I have a granny flat attached to my house.  I've let it out before and always said I'd like a tenant who was interested in the land, wanted an allotment etc.  People say they are but just take the flat (which I rented out cheaply to find the right tenant) but then don't want anything to do with the land

I'm obviously advertising in the wrong place.  Where do I find a tenant who is wants the flat and a bit of land for an allotment etc?

I am 4 miles from Epping in Essex

Could you put up notices at allotments or at garden centres if they have a noticeboards?

Firstly...The right tenant will pay the right price dont sell yourself short.

How much land are you talking about?  and what exactly are you expecting the tenant to do with it?   Tenancies on houses with gardens always include a clause about keeping gargen tidy/lawn mowed etc.

Have you concidered renting the land to a local person separately?
