Hello, does anyone know where or how to get small hardy mountainy organic sheep and ram that do not need to be sheared in France?  Thanks.

Yes!.....the breed you need are Cameroon hair sheep of which there are quite a lot in France and you will need to find a breeder.....cannot help there as in UK

France is quite big - what part are you in?
You can put a wanted ad on angloinfo.com or visit the massive monthly market on the 29th of each month in the Limousin.

Nolana Network http://www.nolana-schafe.de/en-pages/ (http://www.nolana-schafe.de/en-pages/)

Plenty of different types of hair sheep , take your pick!
There are breeders throughout France/Germany/Netherlands

I have seen quite a few and would advise you take your time to find a cross bred /composite type that has improved the commercial traits of the Cameroon & Barbados (I've had these and they could do with a bit of growth/carcase improvement)

Look at the date of first post!

I presume Couann is just saying thanks for the advice.

Good to get some feedback when something works.
