Title: Triplets

Hi folks i have a set of triplets last nite i noticed that two were looking all hunched up not lookin happy at all i gave them a bottle between them this mornin i gave them a bottle each which they drank no problem.my delima is do i take them away and bottle feed the ram lamb seems not to have problems a lot bigger than the two others
they are three weeks.old .i dont want them to go down hill to the point of no return any advice please.

Id say the best bet is to take them away and hand feed them if the ewes not producing enough milk. Means this way there getting fed on a routine and the ewes not getting harassed when she doesn't have enough to keep all three going

Lambs now in a pen in the barn looking a lot better now with full belies hopefully all goes ok them .thanx for the advice wasnt quite sure what to do .

It's no problem  :) just got to remember if there not eating regularly there gonna struggle and go downhill fast. I'm pretty sure now that there in a Cosy pen with full bellies Thel be fine, plus the fact the ewe won't feel as pressured and ul get a strong single from her

Only thing il add is if your not sure that they have had sufficient colostrum then you may develop problems later if there not kept warm and out of drafts. That's when you may need to introduce a stomach tube and/or glucose. That's where the fun begins  :o
