I now have 4 khaki campbell x aylsbury ducks, nice big birds and laying. Anyone know if l can breed these crosses with another aylbury drake or is one cross enough in the duck world. I know enough about chicken hybrids but not ducks. Any help or info would be useful.

You can cross as much as you like and you won't have any problems (although who knows what sort of duck you will get). It's breeding animals that are too closely related that can cause problems.

Quite, now we would not wish to end up with a Duckrel now would we!
I bred 60 last year, it was absolute chaos, they made more mess than my pigs, demolished everything "nice" and I do not wish to do it again!! However, there is something incredibly special about 60 ducks running after you going potty for some afternoon corn ;D
Some of these were mixed breeds, i.e. Campbells, Aylesbury's, Runners, some were gorgeous colours though it is odd to see duck looking like a Campbell and running vertically like a runner ;D

Ahh! they look lovely. We have a small pond but also 4 muscovy and l dont think they mix well with the normal ducks. Keeping them separate for now but may try them together when all settled in. Am told muscovy can be a bit bad tempered with proper ducks. We will see. dont think we are going for 60 ducklings.
