Title: Layer pellets
Post by: Eagledance on June 18, 2009, 09:36:27 pm
Just wondering where folks in Central Scotland get layer pellets from (organic ideally)
I got my last lot delivered from Pillars of Hercules  - they were Hi Peak organic and cost me £17 per 25kg. Wondered if that was a bit expensive but they are in a paper sack which is better than the cheaper ones previously in plastic!

Thanks

Andrew

I get mine either from Pets at Home in Stirling, Feeds n Needs in Tillycoultry, or  the Pet Centre in Alloa - all about £8.50 for 20 kgs.  Feeds n Needs delivers for 31 a bag.  Not organic mind you - don't know how much they would be or even if they have them.  I can get phone numbers for you if you want them.

Not sure where you are but there are several places in Fife. I get mine (Spillers) from Collessie Feeds for £ 7.50, GM free. Before I found them got Dodson and Horrells  from Pets at home, a bit more expensive. According to the manufacturers site Collessie also sells organic pellets, but I've not seen them. I don't bother with organic as long as they are GM free. Then there is Rogers in Cupar who can probably get both for you, but they are too expensive for my budget. Both Spillers and D&H come in paper bags. :&>

i think i may give them a miss. £8.65 is pricy but the postage of £23.21 is eye watering.
