I'm tired of struggling with our frozen trough, so have decided to pump a little water from an old, very shallow well in the garden.
I don't want to make a load of work, and I do need whatever pumps to not freeze.
I've bought a sump pump, but it takes 3/4" hose rather than the more standard 1/2". Now I'm trying to buy a small quantity of hose to use with it. I only need 3 or 4 metres, but can only find people selling much longer pipe.
Does anyone know of where I could get such a small amount?
Thanks
Andrew

You need an aquarium or fishpond supplier. That's where I got ours from sold by the metre. It was the spiral reinforced flexible black stuff and I bought 30 metres of 1" and 1 1/2"
