Title: Dyeing coloured fleece
Post by: Bionic on October 01, 2012, 12:31:36 pm
I have attempted to dye some Castlemilk Moorit fleece which is a chestnut brown with pale tips, using acid dye.
This is my first time with acid dyes and I did it in the microwave.
As the original fleece was quite dark I needed to use a dark dye so used one called bordeaux. I think the results are pretty good and should look lovely once carded.
Pictures are of the original colour and then once dyed, whist it is still drying.
