Title: Treat 'em mean?
Post by: escapedtothecountry on September 30, 2012, 09:47:13 pm
This year I grew too many dahlias from seed which supposedly don't flower that well (particularly as at the time I had no greenhouse to give them a good start). As my raised beds in the rear weren't ready for a veg crop (Id left it a little late) I decided to stick the worst of the dahlias from seed - all the week looking ones. Since then I have just left them. Not one bit of weeding. Not one bit of watering. Nothing. So given how neglectful I've been - I am quite pleased with the result... but clearly can take NO credit for it!

:huff:  ETTC, please pass some of your green fingered power to me  :eyelashes:

My crops have been so poor this year, and, apart from a few nastersiums, the only flowers were weeds.
The pumpkins and butternut squash flowered profusely, but only one little pumpkin to date  :'(
