Hi folks
I thought you might like to see my latest soap creation ?
It's called "Mucky Pig" and despite the brown colour, it smells great
It's a blend of neroli, rose & cinnamon, spicy - fruity and floral all at the same time
Only unmoulded and cut them this morning, so it'll be a few weeks yet before these guys get packaged up in their own little 'pig pen' ;) (I'll post photo's :excited:) and are ready to leave for their new homes :D
The little pigs are squeeky bath toys, the theory (not yet tested) is that they will keep the soap afloat if you drop it in the bath - pretty & practical

That is the cutesy soap I've ever seen  I don't think I'd have the heart tomuse it, just keep it to enjoy the scent.
-
That's brilliant HH  :trophy:

They are so cute!! Let me know when they are ready to go, I'll have a couple to go for christmas prezzies.

So, so cute Karen!!
The ones I do with squeaky ducks in do stay afloat so :fc: it works with the piggies too!

Thanks everybody - looks like they'll be popular
Just as well since I've ordered another 80 pigs :innocent:
I saw a youtube video with ducky ones, they looked so cool I thought I'd adapt it for pigs - I think my bars of soap might be just a wee bit heavy to float since they're double the weight of a standard bar :-\ Time will tell ! My brother's girlfriend wants me to do penguins on icebergs :D (she's a bit of a penguin fan ::) :roflanim:) but I did think about a whole 'farmyard' range - we'll see how it goes with these ones this year first ;)

i think if you could get the penguins at a good price they would be worth a punt as they would be very popular as well, i have at least 1 person i would want to send 1 to....
-
Very Sty-lish! ;D
-
Save some for me, Karen. Will PM you :)
-
How much will they be? They're fabulous!
-
I'm still figuring out the prices (have to cost out the packaging cos it's slightly different to the bars of soap)
Obviously there would be a discount for TAS members  and the bars themselves weigh over 150g each (about twice that of a normal bar of soap) and measure about 4 inches x 3 inches x 1 and a quarter inches in size.
Can I get some feedback from you guys on prices please ? :eyelashes: (I'm a skinflint and everything costs too much ::) :D :innocent:)
How much would you be happy to pay for this if you saw it somewhere ?
-
I think they're brill
If I were just buying one on whim cos I saw it and it looked cute - maybe £6?
If I were buying repeat orders, I probably wouldn't want the little pig each time but would be happy with ones with a pig outline moulded on the top. So maybe these little pigs would be the ones that would be the eye-catchers and there'd be some plainer, and cheaper/bigger bars along with them.
Just an idea - ignore if barking up the wrong tree :)
-
Karen/jaykay, £6 is the price that spring to my mind too.

Factoring in the use of 3 oils (assuming they are EO's?) the price of the piggies and the sheer size of the bar I think £6 is reasonable! Of course if you offer P&P you are looking at £2.70 minimum if your postage costs are same in Scotland as here? That's how much it costs for postage alone on a 100g bar of my soap so you need to add packaging etc ;)
-
Thanks guys
£6 is kinda what I was thinking too ;)
I'll be adding a plain non-pig version at some point I think
-
I vote to keep the squeaky pig  ;D :pig:
