Title: Advertising
Post by: Moleskins on August 26, 2012, 12:32:50 pm
I've notice that adverts come up under the initial post on a thread, these somehow have 'read' the post and tailor the advert to the contents of the post.
I'd like to post a question about how to sex chickens and another one about which toys to give to puppies but I'm worried about what will come up as the advert.
 ;D

I reverse the order so that the latest is at the top - and has the adverts.  Which this time were two ads for lawnmower maintenance.  Which might be relevant to your theme...

My mum's one was a lady in a crinoline.  She kept suggesting I should get one.  Then she went for a very lacey thing that hung on the back of the door (about four foot from where you'd be sitting when you realised you needed it) and that she thought was ver posh.  Yuk!

Hopefully Dan won't ban me for this, but you do know you don't have to see the ads if you don't want to, right?  Just surf with Firefox (other browsers are available), and install one of the free ad-blocker addons.

Dan actually pointed out where filters could be found a while back.  I find I filter them out automatically - just don't notice them any more and accept them as part of the deal that makes TAS work
