Title: Transportation around the uk.
Post by: fairhaven on July 25, 2012, 09:22:26 pm
  Hi Everyone

This is probably silly but is there anyone out there that travels around the uk a lot / or even sometimes?   There are some really great ducks & chickens up in scotland but we are down in Norfolk... If anyone is coming down here on holiday at some point could you let me know if you could bring some poultry down for me?
Yes, I know, why don't I just drive up and have a holiday up North?   Because with 4 kids under the age of 6yrs old that would want a toilet stop  ::) at every new & unexplored garage, truckstop & services that we pass it would be a nightmare!!    >:(  >:(  >:(

So... any idea's?

For some reason there are no muscovy ducks  or pure bred copper black marans to be found anywhere in Norfolk.. Been looking for months.

We might be coming down at the end of September / early October to visit family in Essex.

Fairhavenfarm, I guess the other alternative would be to get some hatching eggs delivered.
I am expecting my first delivery today. 3 Barred Wyandotte and 3 French Copper Blue Maran. Fingers crossed that my broody hen will be able to raise something from them.

I'm up and down a bit, from the West coast of Scotland down to the North West ( Cheshire ) to visit my daughter once a month if that's any help  :)
