Hi All
I have four Tamworths (& two OSB's) and I have noticed that one of the Tamworths has light patches on her skin and another one is starting to bald on her behind.
I have checked for external parasites and all is clear.
Phoned the VET who asked if they were acting strange - said no - they were eating fine etc and he said that its nothing to worry about and there was no need for me to waste money in him coming out.
I've attached a couple of pics - (hopefully they are clear enough) do they look ok - any thoughts what it might be?
Cheers

Summer moulting. Very common indeed - hair will grow back in a few weeks, unless it actually is something else (unlikely from what you describe). Tamsaddle

our dorothy is the same at the moment..she is bald with a white glow..
after keeping weaners for years and never having an adult pig, it took us by surprise the first time dorothy moulted as she always had such a thick coat. when we asked the vet if it was normal, they didnt seem to know.
same with foals, they always seem to lose their face hair in the first few months, we asked a vet if that was normal or mites? and they didnt seem to know.
