Title: Hay crop
Post by: tizaala on July 11, 2012, 08:02:34 am
This is what you call a crop of hay,  this load is made in Poland and going to Germany, look at the bales behind the tractor, must have been a hell of a harvest.

Hay crop here in eastern Germany is really good this year IF you managed to get it off before this last lot of stormy days!!! My little friend that provides my hay got 9 bales from his little plot rather than the usual 7/8 (15 euros delivered into the barn not bad!)

He says there will be a good second crop too because of this rain!

Now, if only we could get that hay over here somehow ........!!!  There again, I know quite a few lorry drivers who travel back and forth ;D

Oh just look at that lovely pale green stuff.  Can't you almost smell it  :yum: :yum:

Tizaala   - that is SO mean to post such a pic when our fields are full of soggy, flattened grass and no sign of a dry patch anytime soon to make our own hay  :'( :'( :'( .  I hope your ankle is better soon so you won't have all this time to find things online to make us all jealous  :innocent: :&>   ;D
