Title: Weather Forecast
Post by: Odin on May 11, 2012, 06:34:02 am
The forecast for Saturday the 12th May is good and may last into Sunday but return of low pressure and rain next week. Conclusion is to try and get as much into the ground this week end, but will anything grow? Got about 150kg of seed potatoes still to plant plus other veg. It will either do or die in the ground or just waste in the shed?
Place your bets.  :-\

Just checked the ten day forecast for my area and 8 out of 10 days have 60% chance of rain so no let up yet and its going to be bloomin' cold and windy, Are we sure its not still february? ::)
I too have still not got my spuds in.

Busted my guts this week end and got all my spuds in, about 150 kg in all. As well as doing a patch for another couple who have asked me to do their small holding so if the weather holds, will be at theirs on an evening during the week, unfortunately a lot of their land has been written off this year because of the water. If the sun shines hard for the next fortnight, I doubt if their field bottoms will dry out.   :(
