Title: Reversing the gearbox on a Topper
Post by: TheCaptain on April 24, 2012, 01:37:46 pm
Any ideas? Have a ridiculous compact tractor with the PTO that goes the wrong way, hasn't been a problem until now as we need to start topping inbetween the trees in our newly planted wooded area (not quite a woodland as yet).

Any ideas?

yep         get a proper tractor or a compact that drives the correct way
it is a universal principle that the PTO revolves the correct way  slip clutches are all designed for this rotation and the blades as well :farmer:

Kubota B6000, it's one of a few that had the reverse PTO on it. They basically made it to fit only one implement on it that was factory fitted, which isn't a topper  :-\
