Large Entry For Thainstone Rare Breeds Poultry Sale
Aberdeen & Northern Marts has a large entry forward for its spring sale of rare breeds’ poultry at the Thainstone Centre, Inverurie, on Saturday 5th may 2012.

There are more than 300-lots of poultry forward along with almost 50-lots of ready to hatch eggs and a large selection of poultry equipment.

The sale draws a large number of buyers from across Scotland and entries are from around the country including Linlithgow, Gairloch and Caithness.

Alan Hutcheon, the deputy general manager of Aberdeen & Northern Marts said: “We introduced this spring sale last year as an additional event and were delighted by the response.  There is an excellent entry and we are looking forward to a good sale.”

The sale begins with poultry in the Thainstone Exchange at 10am, followed by hatching eggs. At the same time there will be sale of horses and ponies in Ring 2, followed by harness and tack in Ring 3 at 11am.

Reading Scottish Farmer looks like its going to be big sale 300 sheep,400 lots of poultry pigs,goats and cattle.Looking forward to it were selling poultry anybody on here selling or going  :)

Horse entries close on Monday but theyve said there are (plus latecomers)
Comprising 30 Cattle (Inc Longhorn, Dexter, Highland),  80 Pigs,  2 Llama’s, 300 Sheep (inc Zwartble, Shetland, Jacob, Welsh Mountain, Hebridian, Dorset, Oxford, Southdown, Hampshire, Ryeland, and Herdwick), 15 Goats, 400 Cages of Poultry and Waterfowl, 200 Lots of Hatching Eggs, Poultry Equipment.

Got catalogue today. Seems to be an awful lot of single cockerals and tups for sale on sat  :)..Alot of jacob sheep if anybodys intrested with lambs at  foot.
