Title: Getting the Latin wrong
Post by: Rosemary on April 09, 2009, 07:42:08 pm
I was in the Health Centre today and had a good laugh at the sign in the window advertising the "Anti natal" class. Of course, it could have been the family planning clinic...

Love it!

I noticed a card in our local supermarket yesterday offering a "George Foreman Baby Grilling Machine" for sale. A snip at £15, but it did make me wonder!!  ???

anti-natal - I do remember what this is about! Just before giving birth some ladies get the thought "I'm not going to do this!" :&>

There's a lovely sign at by the car park at Northampton General Hospital. It's a signpost that reads, 'Family Planning - use rear entrance'. 'Nuff said!

Too much Monty Python and a tangential mind-set led me into deep water a few years ago.

In my local spupermarket was a sign hanging from the ceiling, saying 'Baby Juice'. I mused aloud, "I wonder if they squeeze them or puree them...?" and rather upset another customer, who thought my comment was in bad taste. But then, it's a while sisnce I tasted Baby Juice....
