Title: First pure Castlemilks lambs !

Rain stopped 5pm
Sunshine 6pm
Lovely twins born 7pm
girl and boy

took an hour to catch and put inside all are well - very cute.

OH is sorting ( enjoying ) them all.

2 still left to lamb.

Just for you Tizaala - OH not to hot on putting pics up - Update: Well for a first time mum Evelyn did pretty well - I was a wee bit worried about the ram lamb as he had a bit of a 'gurgle' last night and it was still there in the morning. Had him checked out at the vet and he's got 2 jabs for a few days - one antibiotic and the other to lift the fluid off the lungs, apart from that he's healthy. The little ewe lamb is a wee cracker - mum is doing well and its the first time I've see a ewe doing that hunching thing to make it easier for the lambs to suckle

Thanks for the photo, They are lovely, such good mums that really look after the lambs well, one of ours butted me " right where I wouldn't show my mother " when I picked her lamb up to iodine the umbilical. We are still waiting for the last one to lamb.

Evelyn hasn't butted me yet but she does a lot of hoof stopping when I get near - I think they look more like baby deer than lambs, their legs look a bit long for them - the shetland x ones are now 2 weeks old and can run so fast it's amazing, they are pretty tame though and come up to me but don't think these ones are going to be quite like that as mum's a bit flighty - all good fun.
Hope your last one lambs well Tizaala - think our other will be a week or so yet
