Title: Land rental costs
Post by: knight_family on April 14, 2012, 12:49:55 am
Hi all in the coffee lunge!

I have approx 2 to 3 acres of scrub land ( rough grass and slow bushes )behind our house that is owned by the council I believe, not been used in 10 to 15 years and then only as hay. Now I going to start next week to try and find who I need to speak to in the council to ask if I can rent it.

So my question is how much is it likely to cost me ? For information its in Worcestershire and unfenced with a path running through!

Many thanks for your help

Graham

You need to speak with the Properties, farms and smallholdings dept . you are probably looking at £100 per acre per year. Guarantee as soon as you enquire they will think of some development for the forgotten site.

thanks tizaala,

Thats part of the worry but they have just discounted the site due to poor access as there is only a single track in and no other way to get there!

Worth a try.

Speak to them anyway, they might have something more suitable to offer.
