Title: Ryelands wanted in North Ayrshire Scotland
Post by: tobytoby on March 02, 2012, 01:51:57 pm
I hope someone can help??

All going well 6 acres (3 paddocks) will be fenced and water supply in by end of March, then i will be ready for some stock.
I am looking for pedigree registered stock, to set up my first flock and i am not too fussed about the colour/shades (looks are more important - i dislike ugly sheep).
Ideally i would like to start with 6, albeit weaned lambs/ewes with lambs at foot, possibly castrates and the tamer the better and an unrelated Ram. I am getting mixed messages about whether or not i should run the ram all year (which i would prefer) - anyone any views on this?
If i have to book stock and wait until they are ready, thats fine.
I am in North Ayrshire so the closer the better - but on i am on business in Carlisle usually 1 day a week. I would obviously like to visit prior to purchase.

Look forward to hearing fron the Tasers - there are breeders near me, but i like the ethos of helping others within TAS site.
