Can anyone tell me, is super chunky double the thickness of chunky?

Yes some super chunky is double the thickness of chunky

That's what I thought.  The big stitch knitting is good but it is American with their different yarn thickness so I had to do some research, then I started wondering about our thicknesses.  Seems to be working though.

I work in the rule of 2's

2xDK = chunky
2x chunky = super chunky

It seems to work for me

I've just knitted the same pattern twice in super chunky. The first jumper I knitted as per instructions with 8mm and 10mm needles...the second one I used 7mm and 9mm needles and much preferred the results. This probably isn't any use to you at all, but I just thought I'd say  :-\

8mm and 10mm seems very thin for super chunky.  I use those with double knit.
