Title: Gordon Brown Prayer
Post by: jameslindsay on March 24, 2009, 07:36:26 pm

GORDON
BROWN IS MY SHEPHERD, I SHALL NOT WORK.

HE
LEADETH ME BESIDE THE STILL FACTORIES.

HE
RESTORETH MY FAITH IN THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY.

HE
GUIDETH ME IN THE PATH OF UNEMPLOYMENT.

YEA,
THOUGH I WAIT FOR MY DOLE,

I OWN
THE BANK THAT REFUSES ME.

BROWN
HAS ANNOINTED MY INCOME WITH TAXES,

MY
EXPENSES RUNNETH OVER MY INCOME,

SURELY,
POVERTY AND HARD LIVING WILL FOLLOW ME ALL THE

DAYS OF
HIS TERM.

FROM
HENCE FORTH WE WILL LIVE ALL THE DAYS

OF OUR
LIVES IN A  RENTED HOME WITH AN OVERSEAS LANDLORD.

I AM
GLAD I AM BRITISH,

I AM
GLAD I AM FREE.

BUT I
WISH I WERE A DOG

AND
BROWN  WAS A TREE.

Oh dear, short memories.

Who closed the factories, James? Britain hasn't made anything since the early 90s.

Brown is an incompetant Prime Minister who should hang his head in shame at betraying every principle he once stood for, but we are now the victims of the far-right policies introduced by the Tories under Thatcher.

If you think Cameron (whose economic policies were identical to Brown's until about six months ago) is the answer you are living in dreamland.

Malc - it is a light hearted joke, but it has to be said that the Labour Party inherited a strong economy when they came into power from the Tories. It is also true to say that the Tories inherited disaster from the Labour party in 1979. During the "boom" years why was no money saved and set aside for todays mess? Why did Mr Brown spend all our gold reserves? Really when you look at things it's not so light hearted any more! This is not a political speach in any way but everyone else who read the thread and commented saw the humour in it - even though this "humour" is at OUR cost. And for the record who knows if there is a better alternative out there to get us through this situation, but there can't me anyone much worse!

lets see if he can get us out of the s**t his spend tax spend policies from when he was chancellor ::)
