Title: scrummy biscuits ~Simple Easter Biscuits

but used a free sample pack of museli instead of the currants
linz

Simple Easter Biscuits


3 oz (85 g) sugar
• 3 oz (85 g) butter
• 1 egg yolk
• 1½ oz (45 g) currants (optional) I  uses a sample pack of museli i got in the post
• ½ teaspoon mixed spice
• 6 oz (170 g) plain flour
• Small amount of milk (if required)
• A pinch of salt

1oz = 28.35
Making and cooking it
Always wash your hands before preparing food Always wash your hands before preparing food.

   1. Cream together the sugar and butter
   2. Beat in the egg and add, a little at a time, the fruit (optional) and other dry ingredients.
   3. Mix to a stiff dough, using a little milk if necessary.
   4. Roll out on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
   5. Prick all over (using fork)
   6. Cut into rounds using a 4 inch round crinkly biscuit cutter (or the top of a cup if no cutters are available).
   7. Grease a baking tray
   8. Bake in a moderate over 400°F/Gas Mark 6 for about 20 minutes until they are lightly coloured.
   9. Take out of the oven and place on a wire rack until cold and crisp.

have you dunked them in a hot mug of tea??

Do they stay firm  :P

I only eat dunkable biscuits  8)

I would say they are dunkable, still got a little left so gona coat them in some chocolate.
