Title: Cream separator
Post by: reedos on December 30, 2011, 10:42:47 am
Now we've a freezer full of goats milk and no space left we need to start using it for other stuff. We've intended to start making butter, cheese, ice cream etc for a while but never got around to it!

So cream separators - does anybody use them, are they worth it and where do you get them at a reasonable price, E-bay has loads of Ukranian ones for some reason.

someone on here (can't remember who) bought one of the Ukranian ones and it was fine! I got pipped at the post to a butter churn once on ebay and just never bothered trying again as all our goats milk really goes into my soap or the children  ;D  Have made Ice cream from Savannah's milk but used goats cream from supermarket as no cream seperator here so didn't feel the full ticket as being 'home made' because of that  :-\ nice though.

You'll find the thread here http://www.accidentalsmallholder.net/forum/index.php?topic=16836.0 (http://www.accidentalsmallholder.net/forum/index.php?topic=16836.0)

The one we bought is still going strong and is used maybe twice a week at the moment.
