Title: The annoying side of advertising
Post by: Bioman on December 11, 2011, 05:17:26 pm
I breed a few Appenzeller Spitzhauben's every year and have the odd advert in a couple of local shops and in the village magazine. All the advert has is my email address.

From this advertising, my email address set up for people to contact me on (it is seperate from my personal address) is routinely filled with people offering different services from Chicken bedding to "farm helpers" to offers of free online advertising if I give them my bank account details!!

Does anyone else get this who advertises on a small scale or am I just unlucky?

Thanks

p.s. my email account automatically removes spam that is sent to thousands of people at a time. So I know it isn't online spammers.

It makes you long for the days when folk communicated via postcards or letters :D

I do a lot thrugh email but still can't get through the door when I have been away for a bit..

Our house has been up for sale and I have been innundated with flyers from other estate agents. The vast majority of them are sent by mail so what a waste of postage.  One particular company has sent me 12 (yes 13) postal flyers, trying to get me to sign up with them.  You would think they would take the hin now that I am not interested.
